PCalen — short for Printable Calendar — is a free, browser-based generator for printable calendars, planners, and trackers, built for people who still prefer to plan on paper.

Who We Are

PCalen is an independent website designed, built, and maintained by a small team of designers and developers who care about simple tools, clean typography, and privacy. We are not a large corporation and we are not affiliated with any calendar software vendor, and we read every message we receive.

Why We Built PCalen

We built PCalen after running into the same frustrations again and again. Most free calendar sites are buried under pop-ups, force you to sign up, hide the download button behind several ad-heavy pages, or produce grids that get cut off when you actually print them. Paid calendar software, meanwhile, is often far more complicated than the task of putting a month on a wall requires.

We wanted to create the opposite experience: open a page, adjust a few options, and print a calendar that fits your paper. No account, no signup, no watermark, and no upload of the calendars you create. Every file is generated locally in your browser, and nothing about your plans is sent to our servers.

Who It Is For

Families keep a shared wall calendar that everyone can read and write on. Students and teachers plan around term dates and revision routines. Freelancers and small teams map quarters, sprints, and budgets. Shift workers need hours rather than a row of days. And anyone cutting down on screen time gets a schedule that stays visible without notifications competing for attention. What these people share is a preference for seeing the plan on paper.

Our Mission

Genuinely free: Every template — yearly, monthly, weekly, planners, and trackers — is free to generate, download, and print.
Print-first: Layouts are engineered for real printers rather than for the screen, with support for A4, Letter, Legal, A5, Tabloid, and poster sizes, plus margin and binding-edge controls, so a page comes out at the size you asked for instead of being cut off at the margin.
Privacy-respecting: We do not require registration, and the calendars, notes, and plans you create are never uploaded to our servers.
Useful beyond the grid: Beyond blank date grids, we publish practical guidance on planning, printing, and building routines, so the site is helpful even without generating a file.

What You Can Create

Calendar views: Yearly overviews, detailed monthly grids, focused weekly layouts, daily pages, quarterly views, compact calendars, and school-year calendars.
Planners: Undated monthly and weekly planners, a daily timeline planner, and a bi-weekly (14-day) planner.
Trackers: Habit trackers, monthly budget planners, fitness and workout logs, and newborn daily trackers.
Two levels of control: Site-wide defaults (paper size, orientation, margins, binding edge, week start, holiday country and holiday types across 30+ countries, theme, and fonts) plus display options that are specific to each template, such as yearly columns and week numbers, weekly start and end hours, weekend highlighting, monthly notes panels, and compact ruled lines. Color-coded notes can be added to any date, and every change applies instantly with nothing to reload.
Output: A print-ready page you can download as a high-quality single-page PDF, save as a high-resolution PNG, or send straight to your printer, plus a batch PDF covering a full year.

How PCalen Is Funded

PCalen is free to use and does not require an account. To cover the costs of hosting, development, and upkeep, the site may display advertising served by third-party partners such as Google AdSense. Our Content Principles

The guides and explanations on this site are written by our team based on hands-on use of the tool and established planning methods. We aim to be accurate and useful: if you ever spot an error, a wrong holiday date, or a broken layout, tell us and we will look into it.

How to Use PCalen

Pick a template from the navigation — for example Yearly, Monthly, or a tracker.
Open the settings (gear icon) to choose your paper size, orientation, holidays, and layout options.
Use the font settings to personalize the typography if you like.
Click Preview to see exactly how it will print, then Download the PDF or Share it as an image.
