This Privacy Policy explains how PCalen ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit pcalen.com (the "Site") and use our free printable calendar tools. We have written it in plain language, and it covers the cookies and third-party advertising technologies that may be used on the Site. By using PCalen, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Our Privacy-First Approach

PCalen is built so that the core calendar generation happens entirely inside your web browser. We do not require an account, and we do not collect, store, or transmit the calendars, events, or notes you create. Your customizations (such as paper size, orientation, country, and holiday preferences) are kept on your own device.

2. Information You Provide to Us

The only information we receive directly from you is what you choose to send us. If you contact us by email or use our feedback form, we receive the email address and message you submit so that we can respond and improve the Site. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3. Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including your approximate location (derived from a truncated IP address), browser type, device type, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used in aggregate to understand traffic, diagnose technical problems, and keep the Site secure.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help websites remember your preferences and understand how they are used. We also use browser local storage, which is similar but stays on your device. The categories we use are:

  • Strictly necessary / preference cookies and local storage: used to remember your settings (for example paper size, theme, country, and holiday selections) so the tool behaves consistently between visits.

PCalen is free to use. To cover hosting and development costs, we may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google and the Google AdSense network.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • These vendors and ad networks may also use web beacons or similar technologies to measure the effectiveness of ads and to collect information about your interaction with ads.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings page. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

6. Interest-Based and Personalized Advertising

You can opt out of personalized advertising using the links in section 5; if you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your inferred interests. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand general traffic and usage patterns. The data we review is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its calendar tools;
  • To respond to your emails, questions, and feedback;
  • To measure aggregate traffic and detect misuse, spam, or abuse;
  • To display advertising that keeps PCalen free to use.

9. Your Privacy Rights (EEA, UK, and California)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent (where required) or our legitimate interest in operating a free website. If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by law. 10. Children's Privacy

PCalen is a general-audience planning tool and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Data Retention, Security, and Changes

Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you and to maintain a record of feedback. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we handle, but no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
